I have been promising that I’d have a store and an update for much too long.
If you know me from anywhere but here, you’ll have seen me anxiously prattling on about all that’s been going on behind the scenes, how much work I’m doing and how little sleep I’m getting. It’s all true, but I realized about 2 weeks ago that I had probably put the cart before the horse by talking about it at all as early as I did.
Don’t get me wrong, it is happening. I just didn’t realize the scope of work it takes to put together a small business. I had lots and lots of work done. I spent most of the winter doing designs and planning products, so I thought I was nearly ready. Then came the reality of putting together the store.
And that’s when the fun stuff started. ( <- Know sarcasm when you see it…) The scope of work in the image files alone is mind boggling. That doesn’t even include descriptions and adding them to the store.
I’m getting really close, and still creating new designs along the way. I’m hoping within the next week we’ll go live, then I can introduce you to my brand reps, and we can get on with the grand opening festivities.
Let it be known that I appreciate every catalog and online store more than I ever have before, and I’m so glad that that process isn’t a part of my daily job description. Yikes…
Next time I’ll explain to you how a line of Disney park-inspired products became a goal of mine, and what’s in store for the future of not only FourCrows, but Bits of Magic.
Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you’re enjoying the spring! There’s a whole new world coming…Happy New Year!
